How to Remove Yourself from a Group Text: All Members Have iPhones

If message notifications are driving you crazy, you have the option to either leave the group chat or mute text notifications. If everyone in the group text has an iPhone, they're using iMessage. You'll be able to recognize these members because their text messages will appear in a blue text bubble. Android users' text messages appear in green text bubbles. You'll only have the option to leave a group text on your iPhone if all group chat members are using iOS devices. Here's how to leave a group chat on your iPhone if every member of the chat is using an Apple device.

Open the Messages app.
Tap the group text you want to exit.
Tap the top header of the conversation, where the Messages profiles are.
Tap the info icon.
Select Leave This Conversation and confirm.
Tap Done.
All group chat members will see you've left. You won't receive any more messages from this group text.

Why Can't I Leave Group Chat on iPhone? Leave This Conversation Grayed Out

If you don't see the option to leave, some members may not be using Apple devices. As mentioned before, if everyone in the group text has an iPhone, their text messages will appear in blue text bubbles. Android users' text messages appear in green text bubbles. If you're not seeing the option to leave the group chat and you're seeing green text bubbles, you can still mute the conversation to stop receiving notifications from the group text, but you cannot leave a group text on iPhone if it includes non-Apple users.
